Obituary for Elizabeth "Liz" Weisner (Paulichen)
Elizabeth Weisner age 57 passed away on Thursday June 27, 2019 in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
She is survived by her husband Bruce Weisner, her mother (Mary Paulichen), father (John Paulichen) and two brothers John (Silvia) Paulichen and Mark (Patricia) Paulichen. She is also survived by two nephews John JR. (Paulichen), Joshua (Paulichen) and one niece Josephine (Paulichen). She was predeceased by her sister Ruth, grandparents and numerous Aunts and Uncles.
Elizabeth was born March 26, 1962 in Saenz Pena, Argentina South America. Elizabeth accepted Jesus at an early age and was baptized in Buenos Aries, Argentina. At the age of 15 Elizabeth and her family had an opportunity to move to Calgary. Elizabeth Graduated High School in Calgary, attended Prairie Bible Institute for one year and after working in Calgary for a few years decided to attend SAIT and graduated with a Dietary Tech Diploma. During her Dietary Tech training she did work experience at Prairie Bible Institute, Camrose Hospital and Rocky Mountain House Hospital. After graduating she found employment at the Medicine Hat Hospital and attended Temple Baptist Church where she met her future husband Bruce and were married in 1990. At Temple Baptist Church Elizabeth taught Sunday School for many years.
Elizabeth worked alongside her husband for many years and when it was time for both of them to move on from having the business Elizabeth first worked at The Real Canadian Superstore in the bakery and moved on to Costco Wholesale for over 10 years. In her spare time she loved to bake and cook and often had friends and family over to visit and of course a meal.
In later years Elizabeth and Bruce decided to do some international traveling and were able to travel to Costa Rica, Florida (for a Space Shuttle Launch), Grand Cayman, Hawaii a few times, Panama, Mexico 5 times, Europe twice, Washington D.C. and Phoenix numerous times.
In lieu of flowers, in her honor, as an expression of sympathy donations may be made to Temple Baptist Church Ministries or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
