Mr. Laurie Michael Abenstein, beloved husband of Lorie Abenstein of Medicine Hat, passed away on Monday, July 1st, 2019 at the age of 60 years. Laurie also leaves to cherish his memory one son, Johnathan Abenstein (Kelsey McCann) two daughters, Catherine Abenstein (Léa Arngrimson) and Elizabeth (Keegan) Tritthart; two brothers, Mark (Sonya) Abenstein and Brian Abenstein; three sisters, Karen (Roger) Haddow, Debbie (Dale) Leibel and Terry Gottselig; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Laurie was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Catherine Abenstein. Laurie was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on October 19th, 1958. There was always room at Laurie's dinner table for his family and friends. He was an amazing husband, father, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend. A private family time of remembrance will be held at a later date.
